Aoun warns Arab League chief that Israel’s failure to honor a negotiated framework leaves southern Lebanon exposed to daily violations

Eastora News·

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun told Arab League Secretary-General Ahmad Aboul Gheit in Beirut that Israel had failed to abide by the negotiated framework agreement, leaving southern Lebanon exposed to daily violations.

According to NNA, Aoun said continued Israeli aggression undermines the Lebanese state’s ability to pursue its strategic objectives and restore stability across the region. He also said ongoing incursions are severely hampering national efforts to rebuild authority and secure border areas.

Aoun affirmed that Lebanon welcomes any initiative or effort by the Arab League to help the country navigate what he described as a critical transition phase and confront regional security threats.
