Iran warns citizens against nonessential travel to France, Belgium and Italy amid widening unrest across Europe

Eastora News·

Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Monday advised Iranian citizens to avoid nonessential travel to France, Belgium and Italy as protests, clashes and disruptions continue across parts of Europe.

The ministry’s public relations office urged Iranians already in the three countries to stay away from areas affected by unrest and clashes and to avoid unnecessary movement, particularly in locations where tensions remain high.

It also warned that further unrest could lead to movement restrictions and disruptions to public transport, advising travelers to check the latest security and transport conditions before moving around.

Iranian citizens were also advised to keep the contact details of Iranian diplomatic missions in France, Belgium and Italy with them.

The warning comes after major demonstrations and violence in France over the weekend, where authorities reported widespread looting, damage to public buildings and thousands of arrests. Protests and clashes have also been reported in Belgium and Italy amid broader demonstrations over living costs and economic pressures.
