Kremlin says it values continuing U.S. peace efforts but a final settlement requires Kyiv’s participation

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the United States continues its peacemaking efforts and that Moscow values its mediation. He stressed that Kyiv must participate in a final settlement.

Peskov also said the possibility of a joint meeting in China involving Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping and Donald Trump was mentioned during recent contacts between Putin and Trump. The Kremlin said no concrete or substantive proposals for such a gathering have been made yet.
