Qatar’s Defense Minister Sheikh Saoud Al Thani said Qatar wants to build a bridge with Iran and use economic ties to help prevent conflict with its neighbor in the future.
To illustrate the idea, Al Thani pointed to Germany and France, saying they had been in conflict for almost 75 years and fought three major wars before deciding to establish economic ties. He said those ties first came through Airbus in 1970.
