Rubio says Ukraine election question is relevant but not why the war continues, as no national elections have been held under martial law

Eastora News·

Rubio said the question of whether Ukraine should hold an election was not irrelevant, but it was not the reason the war continues. Ukraine has not held national elections under martial law since Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Rubio also said he would no longer answer questions about a possible 2028 presidential campaign. He said he was focused on his current responsibilities, while Vice President JD Vance was campaigning for Republican candidates and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was working on sanctions against Iran.
