WFP cuts Gaza food aid for 500,000 as winter arrives, halves rations and seeks $450 million to sustain operations through March 2027
Middle East
The UN World Food Program (WFP) has announced a reduction in its operations across the Gaza Strip, saying acute funding shortfalls will cut the number of people it reaches from 1.6 million to 1.1 million as winter arrives. The change removes essential food assistance from roughly 500,000 Palestinians, according to the agency.
