Former Israeli ambassadors protest “Jewish terrorism” after settler attacks leave an American journalist, a French mayor and Palestinians wounded
About a dozen former Israeli ambassadors and diplomats protested outside the Foreign Ministry in West Jerusalem on Sunday, calling on the Israeli government to end what they described as “Jewish terrorism.” The demonstration followed a series of attacks by illegal Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank that left an American journalist, a French mayor and several Palestinians wounded.
The attacks included incidents involving European diplomats, a Washington Post journalist, the French mayor and multiple Palestinian farmers. The Israeli military has recently been filmed uprooting olive trees and protecting settlers as they attack Palestinian families.
The olive harvest in the occupied West Bank officially began on October 15. The post says escalating settler violence, military raids, access restrictions and the expansion of illegal settlements—including the rapid establishment of dozens of outposts—are increasingly preventing Palestinians from reaching their land.
