Iranian officials say Tehran is prolonging U.S. talks to deny Trump a midterm victory and preparing for renewed strikes rather than a deal to end the war

Senior Iranian officials told Reuters that Iran is deliberately prolonging talks with the United States to deny President Donald Trump a political victory ahead of November’s midterm elections.

The officials also said Tehran is preparing for renewed U.S. and Israeli strikes rather than pursuing a deal to end the war.
