Iran’s Baghaei says good-neighbor relations are impossible while neighbors host ‘the aggressor,’ urges action against external powers using their territory

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said good-neighborly relations could not exist while neighboring countries host what he called “the aggressor.”

He said that if neighboring countries are serious about establishing a regional security mechanism, their first step should be to prevent external powers from exploiting their territories to threaten and attack other countries.
