Macron secured an additional 200,000 tonnes of diesel per month from the UAE and Bahrain, bringing France’s total Gulf supply commitments to 295,000 tonnes monthly—more than 10% of its consumption.
The deal is intended to ease soaring fuel prices and supply shortages amid nationwide protests and disruptions caused by the U.S.-Iran war.
