MSF worker hospitalized after slingshot assault in southern West Bank as group warns of violence and restrictions on humanitarian access

Eastora News·

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said one of its staff members was hospitalized after being struck by a projectile fired from a slingshot during an organized mob attack on a village in the southern West Bank. The organization denounced a wave of violence and warned that Israeli forces and armed settlers were escalating violence, forced displacement and intimidation across the occupied West Bank, disrupting humanitarian operations and driving Palestinian communities from their land.

MSF said road closures blocked ambulances after the assault. It described the attack on its worker as part of a deliberate strategy to restrict movement, deny access to healthcare and weaken the resilience of Palestinian communities across Hebron province.

Rights organization Al-Baidar reported that army-backed settler violence had forcibly displaced 20 Palestinian families from the Ras al-Ahmar Bedouin community in the northern Jordan Valley. It said another 27 families faced imminent expulsion amid severe water and animal-feed blockades that, it said, were designed to destroy their livestock-based livelihoods.
