Trump’s approval hits a record-low 31% as Democrats lead Republicans 47%-35% and Republicans face pressure before Nov. 3 midterms
U.S.
President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 31%, its lowest on record, according to an October 19 Reuters/Ipsos poll. The poll also found Democrats leading Republicans among registered voters as Republicans face growing pressure ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.
Democrats led 47% to 35%, widening their advantage from seven points two weeks earlier.
Economic concerns are weighing heavily on Trump: 68% disapproved of his handling of the economy amid rising gasoline prices following the Iran war. Reuters was the reporting source for the poll findings.
