Araghchi warns that Egyptian or other interference in Yemen would worsen the situation as Sisi describes limits on Cairo’s military role

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that any Egyptian or other country’s interference in the Yemen war would make the situation more difficult. Egypt maintains its position on regional security and defense commitments.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said Cairo’s military efforts would not extend beyond Egypt’s borders or those of a fellow Arab country whose security and stability it seeks to protect. He also stressed that Egypt’s role in defending Saudi territory is limited.
