French police attempted to arrest Raphael Arnault, a French member of parliament described in the post as a far-left politician and Antifa leader, but he escaped after officers mistakenly raided the wrong train car, according to the post.
The post said Arnault was then hiding inside parliament, where police could not enter.
It was unclear whether police sought to arrest him over organizing student riots or suspected involvement in the February murder of right-wing French student Quentin Deranque.
The post said Deranque was beaten to death by members of Arnault’s Antifa group. It also said one of the arrested people suspected of the murder was Arnault’s parliamentary assistant.
