Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow would consider proposals from US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, but would make no political concessions. He said Russia would assess proposals strictly by their economic and financial benefits and that any agreement must not involve political concessions or expectations of political favors in international affairs.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said he hoped the envoys would meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future to brief him on their contacts with Ukrainian and European representatives.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said after meeting US envoys and Nordic leaders in Oslo that Witkoff would visit Russia to convey peace ideas. Those ideas include the possibility of a trilateral meeting among the leaders of Ukraine, Russia and the United States.
