Senior Iranian security official says Iran is prepared for an all-out war and will answer any new attack without restraint
A senior Iranian security official said Wednesday that Iran had prepared for an “all-out, multi-layered and comprehensive war” and had made a definitive decision to respond to any new attack, killing or assassination without limits or restraint.
The unnamed official made the remarks in an exclusive statement to Press TV published on October 21.
The source said Iranian forces were prepared to strike “with full force” at accessible interests and targets of any attackers and their supporters across the region.
The official said Tehran did not believe the U.S. or Israel would attack Iran independently of the other, describing the idea of separate American and Israeli action in a war against Iran as “a bitter joke.”
The source also argued that explicit threats by U.S. and Israeli officials to attack Iran had given Tehran what the official described as the legal and moral justification to take necessary defensive measures.
Press TV did not identify the official or provide independent evidence of new military deployments accompanying the warning. The statement comes amid renewed U.S.-Iran tensions and repeated Iranian warnings that another attack would trigger a broader response.
