President Trump is pushing to remove journalists from the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room and potentially restore the indoor swimming pool originally built for President Franklin D. Roosevelt, The New York Times reported.

Trump repeatedly raised the proposal with former press secretary Karoline Leavitt before she left in August, suggesting that relocating reporters could be her “last legacy.”

His advisers remain divided over the proposal. The press corps would likely move to the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, but no final decision has been announced.
