Iranian ground forces chief orders maximum readiness as US confrontation intensifies, warning wartime lapses could bring catastrophic costs
Brigadier General Amir Ali Jahanshahi, commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, has ordered all unit commanders to maintain maximum operational readiness, Tasnim News Agency reported. He warned that any lapse in vigilance during wartime conditions could carry catastrophic costs.
Addressing military leaders, Jahanshahi said effective defensive capabilities require continuous tactical training, rigorous readiness assessments, coordination between units and the rapid correction of operational vulnerabilities.
The directive comes as military posture across the region reaches critical levels following months of direct military exchanges, aggressive naval deployments and a dispute over maritime navigation in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
The declaration of maximum readiness directly answers recent threats by US President Donald Trump regarding potential expanded strikes, and signals that Iranian armed forces are prepared for full-scale defensive operations along land borders and strategic maritime corridors.
