Turkish FM Fidan says countries seek to prevent war spreading in Gulf and Ukraine, warning repeated attacks on Iran could widen regional conflict

Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan said countries at the table shared a desire to prevent the war from spreading in both the Gulf and Ukraine. He said discussions covered the war in Ukraine, Iran, the Strait of Hormuz, attacks on Saudi Arabia, Israel’s destabilising role and other regional and global issues.

Fidan warned that repeated attacks on Iran could spread war and conflict further across the region. He said the Strait of Hormuz must remain open and that attacks on Saudi Arabia should also stop through appropriate diplomatic means.
