Mohammad Mokhber, a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, dismissed recent threats of military action by US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In statements carried by Irib, he described their rhetoric as psychological warfare driven by strategic desperation.

Mokhber said Tehran could sense its adversaries’ growing “weakness” as Washington and Tel Aviv struggle to project power across the region. He added that Iran is aware of its opponents’ operational vulnerabilities and warned that potential battlefield surprises, combined with Iran’s leverage over global energy corridors, could swiftly shift the regional balance of power.

He said indigenous populations had inhabited West Asia for millennia, while Israel faced structural decay and “can merely think about its own non-existence.”

Iranian officials continue to signal that coercive diplomacy and military posturing will not alter Tehran’s defense calculus or force it to make strategic concessions.
