Asharq Al-Awsat reports that Iraqi officials suspect Israel carried out airstrikes on two warehouses storing Chinese-made air defense systems recently transferred from Iran to Tehran-backed militias. The strikes reportedly destroyed a large shipment shortly after the weapons arrived.
The suspected strikes followed a series of explosions targeting militia weapons depots around Baghdad since October 1. The facilities targeted in that series included sites housing attack and reconnaissance drones.
