Iraq’s prime minister said no U.S. troops remain in the country, including personnel in advisory roles. Baghdad is moving to bring all weapons under state control by next June while strengthening its strategic partnership with Washington.
Baghdad and Washington agreed in 2024 to a phased withdrawal of U.S.-led coalition forces from Iraq, with the military mission scheduled to conclude by this September.
