The U.S. Justice Department is seeking to block certification of the Alaska Senate election results if Dan Sullivan loses the race, according to a lawsuit.
The lawsuit alleges that Dan J. Sullivan entered the contest intending to mislead supporters of incumbent Republican Senator Dan S. Sullivan. It says the candidates’ similar names created voter confusion.
