Yemen’s Armed Forces launched a coordinated ground assault early this morning against coalition positions at Al-Maqatira Castle in southern Lahj governorate, following extensive reconnaissance maneuvers.
Field reports from Al Jazeera said the pre-dawn strike followed aerial surveillance on Thursday. The operations were intended to map defensive positions and neutralize Saudi-backed coalition positions guarding the high-ground stronghold.
The offensive in Lahj took place alongside intense military engagements on Taiz governorate’s eastern front lines. Yemen’s Armed Forces engaged Saudi-backed coalition troops there using heavy weaponry, mobile artillery units and tactical drone strikes.
