Araghchi says US-Israeli war on Iran will permanently alter Strait of Hormuz shipping, warns “nothing will be the same” and says nearly all regional US bases were destroyed

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the regional war had brought fundamental strategic changes, warning that “nothing will be the same” as before the US-Israeli war on Iran, including in the Strait of Hormuz.
Araghchi said Iran and Oman had maintained safe passage through the strait for decades without obstructing shipping. The war, he said, had created new realities that would permanently alter its shipping routes.
He also said nearly all US military bases in the region had been destroyed, citing Pentagon figures on hundreds of buildings lost.
