Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Sunday that lasting stability in the Middle East would be impossible while conflict continued in different parts of the region.

“You cannot have war and conflict in one part of the region and expect peace and calm in another,” Araghchi said in a televised address. “The war must end on every front. Otherwise, we will not see stability in the region.”

Araghchi said Tehran had made the same point during negotiations with the United States conducted through mediators including Pakistan and Qatar, arguing that any settlement should encompass hostilities across the region rather than a single theater.
