Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared an AI-generated image depicting a nuclear explosion in Tel Aviv on X on Sunday, October 25, two days before Israel’s elections. The image appeared alongside statements by right-wing political commentator Yuval Blumberg warning of an existential threat from Iran.

The post urged Israel to use the remaining two years of Donald Trump’s presidency to “finish the job” against Tehran and dismissed domestic political controversies as distractions. It warned that failing to confront Iran could expose Israelis to a “second Holocaust.” Blumberg asked who would care about political controversies “if two atomic bombs fall in the center of the country.”

A Community Note on X pointed to a contradiction with Netanyahu’s previous statements, saying he had declared that Iran was no longer an existential threat and that Israel’s victory over it would endure for generations.
