President Donald Trump said the United States could strike Iran again or reach a new agreement with Tehran, leaving both military action and diplomacy open as Washington assesses fresh intelligence about threats to U.S. personnel.

Speaking to reporters in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday after casting his early midterm ballot, Trump said: “There’s a possibility I will bomb Iran again. There’s also a possibility we’ll have a nice, big, beautiful agreement.”

“They want to make a deal, but the problem is, will they hold the deal?” he said. In a separate answer, Trump added: “I may have to finish it off, or maybe they’ll make a deal. I’m not sure. Either way, we win.”

Asked about a U.S. intelligence assessment that Iran had increased efforts to target American personnel abroad, Trump called Iran’s leadership “very bad people” and again said Iranian authorities had killed 75,000 protesters. That death toll is Trump’s claim and has not been independently established.

Trump also argued that Iran would eventually have found a way to build a nuclear weapon if Washington had left the country alone. He further claimed that the U.S. had destroyed all 259 Iranian fighter jets and all 259 of its ships. Publicly available assessments do not support treating those figures as independently established totals.

On Ukraine, Trump confirmed that he had spoken with Elon Musk when asked about the situation but declined to describe the conversation. The Wall Street Journal reported this week that Trump called Musk and asked him to lift restrictions affecting Ukraine’s military-grade Starshield service, following disruptions that Ukrainian officials said had impaired operations.

Trump said the United States could eventually conduct business with both Ukraine and Russia after their war ends. First lady Melania Trump, asked separately whether she would travel to Ukraine, replied: “We will see.”

Trump also renewed his attacks on Democrats and brought up Jeffrey Epstein while accusing them of corruption, without presenting evidence for a broader allegation tying the party to Epstein.
