European Parliament Left group press officer says Israeli authorities deported him after about eight hours’ detention during trip to West Bank olive harvest

Manus Carlisle, a press officer for The Left group in the European Parliament, said Israeli authorities deported him after detaining him for approximately eight hours at Ben Gurion International Airport.

Carlisle said he and his partner were traveling to take part in the olive harvest in the occupied West Bank as part of the Fa3za campaign. After about eight hours in airport detention, they were transferred to a deportation holding area.
