Former Israeli officials urge Netanyahu to outlaw Hilltop Youth, alleging state backing for attacks on Palestinians and citing a sharp rise in settler violence

Former senior Israeli military, intelligence, police and legal officials have called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, War Minister Israel Katz and Shin Bet chief David Zini to designate the settler movement Hilltop Youth and its associates as a terrorist organization. Ynet reported that the demand was made in a formal letter on 24 October.
