Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and War Minister Israel Katz have ordered the military to continue its operation in occupied Hebron, rejecting army chief Eyal Zamir’s recommendation to end it, according to a report published Monday by Israeli outlet Ynet.

The assault began after two Israeli soldiers were killed in a shooting operation. It has involved mass searches, arrests, the forced displacement of Palestinian residents and the demolition of structures.
