Spanish police arrested around 100 people, including 27 minors, after a youth demonstration in central Barcelona escalated into violent clashes and looting.

Hundreds of young people gathered at Catalonia Square following a social media call inspired by France’s “Lycees Indignes” student movement. Some participants looted shops, set fires and threw stones and bottles at security personnel.
