Baghaei says Trump’s “waste of time” remark on Islamabad MoU exposes U.S. disregard for commitments and diplomacy

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Donald Trump’s dismissal of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding as a “waste of time” showed Washington’s disregard for international commitments and diplomacy. Trump made the remarks at a rally in Mississippi, where he also dismissed a previous ceasefire.

Brokered by Pakistan in June, the MoU aimed to halt military attacks, lift the naval blockade and provide a path toward sanctions relief. The post says the United States immediately violated the agreement through aerial assaults and continued naval blockades.
