Poland detains Ukrainian man suspected of plotting arson at Romanian defense company as intelligence links alleged network to Russia
Poland has detained a Ukrainian man suspected of preparing an arson attack on Romania’s Carfil defense company. Romania’s intelligence service says the alleged sabotage network was coordinated from Russia.
The Central Bureau of Investigation of the Polish Police (CBŚP) reported that investigators believe the man was preparing attacks on Carfil, which develops weapons and ammunition.
Romania’s intelligence service (SRI) also said that centers in Romania training Ukrainian military personnel were among the targets. Two other alleged members of the group, both Belarusian citizens, had previously been detained in Germany.
