Qatari mediators delivered Iran a new proposal on Sunday aimed at ending the US-Israeli war on Iran, and Tehran is expected to respond by the end of the week, an official familiar with the negotiations told Reuters on Wednesday.

The proposal, which Iran is considering, sets out a seven-day framework to address concerns raised by both Tehran and Washington. It calls for each side to implement confidence-building measures daily, the official said.

The process could begin early next week, and several countries are expected to serve as guarantors of an agreement, the official added.
