Top Democrats are preparing to investigate President Donald Trump's agreement to import Russian diesel if they regain control of Congress. Lawmakers have urged six major U.S. banks and several ports to preserve records related to the deal, Axios reported.
The lawmakers warned that the imports could violate a 2022 ban and fund Russia’s war in Ukraine. The Treasury Department has waived sanctions to facilitate the arrangement and insists it is legal.
