Trump says Netanyahu is in “pretty good shape” after Israeli election and will “take a look” at possible unity-government role

President Trump told Axios that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political position appeared to have improved after Israel’s parliamentary election, despite Trump initially receiving “horror reports” about Netanyahu’s prospects.

Trump said he had heard that his endorsement made a significant difference for Netanyahu, who was now in “pretty good shape.”

Asked whether he would get involved in efforts to form a Netanyahu-led unity government, Trump said he had not yet considered it but would “take a look.”
