Türkiye's talks with Libya's eastern and western administrations yield no deal, with military unification the main focus so far
Türkiye held talks last week in Ankara between Libya’s rival eastern and western administrations in an effort to reunify the divided country, but no agreement has been reached, a senior Turkish official familiar with the negotiations told AFP on Wednesday. Military officials representing both administrations took part alongside diplomats, with Türkiye mediating between the sides.
The discussions have focused primarily on military unification; political unity is expected to be addressed at a later stage, the official said.
