At least 10 U.S. military transport aircraft land in Israel within 24 hours amid regional buildup

At least 10 U.S. military transport aircraft landed at Israeli air bases in the Negev within 24 hours as Washington expanded a broader military airlift across the Middle East, Israel’s public broadcaster Kan reported Thursday.

The aircraft landed at Ovda and Nevatim air bases in southern Israel. Kan said some of the flights originated from the Fort Bliss area in Texas, a major U.S. Army hub for air and missile defense units.

The airlift also included U.S. military transport flights to bases in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Kan reported that the aircraft were likely carrying interceptors and air-defense equipment, but it did not publicly confirm the precise cargo aboard each flight.

The movements come as the U.S. reinforces regional defenses and replenishes military stocks while President Donald Trump considers possible renewed military action against Iran. Washington has also begun moving an additional Patriot air-defense system from Texas toward Israel.

An Israeli security official cited by Kan said Israel and the U.S. were coordinating closely and preparing for possible decisions by Trump, while stressing that no final decision on renewed strikes had been made.
