Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman says Israel is main source of West Asia insecurity, warns of worsening Gaza winter crisis

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Israel was the main source of insecurity in West Asia, accusing it of intensifying its operations in Gaza and Lebanon following recent developments.

Speaking at his weekly press conference in Tehran on Monday, Baghaei said conditions for displaced Palestinians in Gaza were becoming “catastrophic” as winter approaches, with what he described as even basic shelter and essential supplies being prevented from entering.

Baghaei criticized what he called growing indifference from the international community and European countries toward the humanitarian situation.

“We are facing an extremely dangerous phenomenon: the normalization of crimes and killings,” he said, arguing that Palestinian lives should not be reduced to casualty statistics.
