Albanian PM Edi Rama says foreign involvement in protests is real, denies saying Iran organized them and rejects resignation imposed by the street
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said foreign actors have been involved in protests since June and that this involvement continues today. He said he had never claimed Iran organized the protests, but alleged that “the hands of the criminal regime in Tehran” were present on the boulevard and said there was evidence of that.
Rama said a democratically elected prime minister with “a contract with the people” cannot, under any circumstances, be forced to resign by the street.
