Israel’s Gadi Eisenkot reportedly weighs a minority government as early as next week while Lieberman ends his ultra-Orthodox boycott and 61-seat coalition talks proceed
Gadi Eisenkot is reportedly considering forming a minority government as early as next week, while parallel negotiations seek to establish a 61-seat coalition with ultra-Orthodox parties, N12 reports.
Avigdor Lieberman has reportedly lifted his years-long boycott of ultra-Orthodox parties, clearing the way for coalition talks aimed at replacing Netanyahu. Negotiations with United Torah Judaism are already underway, reportedly on the basis of a 2018 military draft exemption bill proposed by Lieberman.
The proposed 61-seat government could be led by Eisenkot and Lieberman under a rotating premiership.
