“We’re going to win,” Trump said. “It’s going to be one way or the other. It’s going to go pretty quickly.”

Defending the decision to go to war, Trump said the danger went far beyond Israel, warning that a nuclear-armed Iran could eventually threaten the United States and Europe as well. He also described Iran’s leadership as “crazy.”

Trump went further on the economic fallout, saying inflation would be “eradicated” once the war ends.

“I went to war to stop what could be one of the worst things that could ever happen to the world,” he said, arguing that U.S. action had prevented a scenario in which Israel and the wider Middle East faced catastrophic destruction.
