Responding to an Axios report, Trump wrote: “I offered them NOTHING!” and demanded that the outlet withdraw the story immediately.

Axios and CNN had earlier cited a U.S. official saying Washington was prepared to consider sanctions relief and the release of frozen Iranian assets in return for concrete nuclear progress.

Trump’s denial now puts the White House publicly at odds with that account, leaving open whether officials were describing a possible negotiating position rather than a formal offer already made to Tehran.
