POLITICO, citing a draft joint statement, says the package will cover digital trade, support for Ukraine, wildfire cooperation, stronger supply chains and the stockpiling of critical resources.

The Oct. 29-30 summit comes as Ottawa and Brussels look for closer economic and strategic ties. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has already called for a Canada-EU “tech alliance” spanning AI, quantum technology, cybersecurity, critical minerals and advanced manufacturing.

The two sides are also working toward a digital trade agreement designed to extend their existing CETA partnership into the digital economy.
