Francken has said Belgian security services see strong indications of Russian involvement in several incidents inside the country, including suspicious drone activity around sensitive sites and repeated cyberattacks.
His comments come as Belgium pushes to strengthen military readiness and argues that NATO’s current defence requirements no longer fully reflect the risks Europe could face in a future conflict.
